The concept of the B.M.S.: Bullying Prevention Program was created in 2008 by Professional School Counselor, Catherine M.W. Graves. Originally a bullying prevention initiative geared towards middle school students, the program was revised in 2009-2010 to include lessons developmentally appropriate for elementary students. The program is a proactive, school-wide approach for counselors and educators. A resource presentation for parents was created in 2011. Presentations have been offered at schools, conferences and community events since Spring 2011.
